Reasons Why Asking Alexandria Would Been Better Off With Denis Stroff

Like every family Asking Alexandria has many internal conflicts. Through the beginning of their career most of this went unnoticed, but then their lead singer Danny Worsnop left.

Asking Alexandria was left without their lead singer. Instead of disbanding the band, the founder, Ben Bruce (lead guitarist), replaced Danny with Denis Stroff.

Die hard fans were only left to wonder what this meant for the future of this colossal band. The answer? Greatness.

Asking Alexandria released the album, The Black.

The Black, gave Asking Alexandria revitalized sound. Ben Bruce was able to bring back an even more aggressive style of composing music and Denis Stroff mesmerized fans with his insane range.

Listrening to The Black you might think the n=band has five different singers... no. Denis was just that good. He could sing low, high, scream, growl, you name it he did it. This gave fans great hope for a brighter future.

Yet this all ended after a year of touring and Denis felt the rock star lifestyle wasn't for him. Fans were heartbroken. Here was a band taking themselves in a new direction to have it ripped away.

The band was once again left without a lead singer, but who came to the rescue no other than Danny Worsnop. Now to most fans this was a reassuring feeling, why? Well atleast we knew there wasn't going to be another experiment. We got lucky the first time, but a second there was no guarantee. Then Asking Alexandria released their self titled album.

Who made the band I fell in love with a pop band? This is equivalent to Megadeth's album Risk. Just a slap in the face. Take it there are some good moments in a song here and there, but the album is a shell of what the band is capable of.

Yes, Danny was back and yes his vocals are good, but the instrumentals were weak to say the least. You know its bad when pretty much every song sounds the same. There is zero diversity, and it felt the band was just trying to make radio hit to appease a broader audience. They should have learned from other band's the past. In the metal community going more mainstream is a death sentence.

I have no doubt that of Denis had been around for another album we have seen something incredible, but now we will never know. Instead, we were given a subpar pop record.

Asking Alexandria has something prove, Danny you have something to prove.
