Breaking Benjamin Ember

Breaking Benjamin's new album Ember has resurrected one of the most critically acclaimed bands of the 2000s.

Ember shows both lifelong fans and newcomers to rock what heavy sounds and feels like.

The songs individually stand on there own, but as a complete collection depict the bands growing musical capabilities. Breaking Benjamin is one of the few rock bands to have survived longer than ten years and still been able to stay on top of the charts. The single released January 18th has stayed on top of charts for a solid 4 months.

Red Cold River sets the tone for the rest of album as it is 3rd on the set list.

What this album does well is keep a solid pace. and consistently brings heavy riffs mixed with peaceful melodies. The song Psycho is one of the songs which starts of with a heavy intro and moves into solid riff. The song precedes to produce an amazingly memorable chorus.

Psychp is followed by The Dark of You, which slows the pace of the album without bringing it to a slow stop, This beautiful song gives the listener a break from the head banging and really drives home an emotional message about life. This song could be in response to the number of tragic suicides that have plagued the metal community the past year. The deaths of both Chris Cornell of Soudgarden Audioslave and Chester Bennigton of Linkin Park has caused a lot of bands to really reach out and support people suffering from mental illness.

After The Dark of You, Breaking Benjamin gets right back into the heavy material. The best of which is Torn in Two. Damn talk about heavy in your face riffs.

Honestly there is too much praise for this album.

If you want to listen to a great album cover to cover look no further than Ember. Enjoy Listening.
